Resource Hub

Our purpose for developing the Northside Resource Hub (NRH) was to develop this coordinated system in order to meet the following outcomes for our children within our local community and contiguous communities:
1. Children are born healthy.
2. Children are healthy, thriving, and developmentally on track from birth to third grade.
3. Children are developmentally ready to succeed in school at the time of school entry.
4. Children are prepared to succeed in fourth grade and beyond by reading proficiently by the end of third grade.

The Northside Resource Hub (NRH) is an example of multiple partners, organizations, and funding sources working collaboratively to meet the needs of our children. With funding through Niles Community Schools (NCS), Berrien Community Foundation (BCF), Child Care Resource Center (CCR), Niles Education Foundation (NEF), the Great Start Collaborative of Berrien County, and Northside Very Important Parents (NVIP) this program has become a reality.

We want to partner with our local child care providers to provide relevant and endorsed licensing training as well as resource materials and kits. These resources will increase the quality of service, skills, understanding, and interaction necessary among our providers in order to meet the developmental needs of our children. Niles Community Schools is committed to serving our district, county and surrounding counties. The Resource Hub is a program that is here to support providers that care for children of all ages.

Our effectiveness will be measured by our ability to provide...:
1. ...quality materials
2. ...quality training
3. ...local networking and relationships
