Hello,
Niles community!
I look forward to continuing to serve in the Niles
school district this year and beyond. I am currently serving as the
Principal at Northside Child Development Center, Principal at
Southside School, and as the Assistant Director of Special Education
and Social Emotional Learning. Prior to my current role, I spent two
years as the Principal at Ballard Elementary. Before my time in
Niles, I resided in Champaign, Illinois where I began teaching in
2010. I was a Special Education Teacher at Centennial High School for
4 years before becoming the Assistant Principal at Edison Middle
School. I was Assistant Principal and then Associate Principal at
Edison for almost 4 years before relocating to Michigan and joining
the Niles schools team.
I
currently reside in the Southwest Michigan area with my wife, Sarah,
my daughter, Minnie, my son, Charlie, and goldendoodle, Popcorn.
Although
I am an administrator and no longer have a classroom, I still have a
strong passion for interacting daily with students and helping them
grow. It is my goal to work with teachers, students, families, and
the community to provide a safe,
equitable, and rigorous learning environment
in our schools. I encourage parents to contact me with any
celebrations, concerns, or questions. While I wear many hats, please
do
not
hesitate to reach out to me-I want to help any way I can to create a
successful school experience for all children. I look forward to
meeting each and every one of you and discussing how we might work
together to meet the needs of students.
